Southeastern Wisconsin Fox River Commission (SEWFRC) was established in 1997 to address community concerns about water resource issues of the Fox River. Under Wisconsin Act 27, SEWFRC has the authority to undertake measures to improve conditions in the Fox River system.
Jurisdiction consists of the tributary drainage area along 36.5 miles between the northern limits of the City of Waukesha to the Village of Waterford Dam and includes drainage area of approximately 119 square miles at the upper reaches to approximately 312 square miles at I-43 and about 364 square miles at the Waterford Dam.
