Court Conduct

The Village of Waterford Municipal Court is a court of law and the rules of proper decorum and evidence will be followed. 

Be on time.
Throw away gum, food and drinks before entering the courtroom.
Weapons of any kind are not allowed in the courtroom
Remain quiet at all times while in the courtroom and in the foyer outside the courtroom.
Everyone present in the courtroom must be treated with respect including all court staff and other defendants.
All electronic devices must be silenced or turned off.
All hats and sunglasses should be removed when entering the courtroom.
Dress respectfully.
Speak clearly when responding to the judge's questions and address the judge as "Your Honor."

If you do not abide by these simple codes of conduct you will be asked to leave the courtroom.
